Welcome to Sunshine Week 2016!
The little farmers at Epuni Primary School have been busy as bees in the last few weeks sowing, planting and growing sunflowers.
Sunshine Week is a time for working together to create beautiful spaces and food for our bees and other pollinators in our local communities throughout Aotearoa. We do this by planting sunflowers all around our neighbourhoods to bring our whole community together to spread sunshine.
Join us on Saturday the 5th November at Epuni Primary School for our community planting day. Plant your own sunflower in our Sunshine Field in the morning, take a stroll around the neighbourhood for guerrilla gardening in the afternoon or for a koha take your own seedlings home to nourish with your whanau.
Keep an eye out for our hand painted sunflower seed packets in your local stores in the month of November or at the Common Unity Project, available for a koha.
